So, I did it again. I dragged home a piece of neglected furniture from my local thrift store. BUT…I couldn’t help myself – this dresser is BEAUTIFUL! Look past the white & missing pulls & dings of course. The carved details and lines are amazing and I love the bowed front. At first, I thought it was antique but after closer inspection, it looks like a vintage Chippendale reproduction probably made in the 1940s or 50s.
Anyway, this lady is destined for my daughter’s bedroom. I thought it would be perfect with her antique iron bed that is painted chippy white. I’m not sure what to do with her yet though. New pulls (or new to me pulls in glass or brass). With her dings she has character and I do like the wood grain. It might a shame to cover it with paint. Any ideas? I’m scratching my head over this one…It helps to mention my the walls are white where the dresser will ultimately live.
